Before a chamber packed with Library supporters, the Rules Committee of the City Council voted unanimously today to move the new Central Library project forward for full Council consideration. The Committee's action means the full Council will have a final vote on the project on Monday, June 28 at 2 p.m. To read a Union-Tribune article on the vote, VISIT HERE.
The Library Foundation is calling on all Library supporters to step up and help make the final push on this essential project. Please consider:
- Calling or emailing your City Council representative to let him or her know how important this project is to the San Diego Public Library system. Your call or email does not need to be long but should express your support for moving forward with the project.
- Attending the City Council meeting at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 28 in the Council chambers at the City Administration Building at 202 "C" Street on the 112th floor. If you do plan on attending, please contact the Foundation at office@supportmylibrary.org.
