Voting for selection of the 2011 book title in the One Book, One San Diego program is now open.Visit the KPBS website HERE through August 18 to select the title San Diego will read in the 2011 program.
For the fifth straight year, the Library and KPBS will bring San Diego together with the One Book, One San Diego Program. The program features author events, book discussions at libraries and other in-library events to explore the themes discussed in the featured book. VISIT HERE for more details.
The nominated titles are The Gangster We Are All Looking For by lê thi diem thúy, Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea and Let the Great World Spin by Colum McCann
Library One Book activities will begin in winter 2011. Previous One Book, One San Diego titles are The Outcasts United, The Zookeeper’s Wife, Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace…One School at a Time and Enrique’s Journey.
