Technology
The San Diego Public Libraries are recognized national leaders in opening technology access to all San Diegans. The Library was among the first in the nation to offer free wi-fi connectivity at all branches.
Technology services are well used and remain a priority for the library. The Library offers a complete online library catalogs and more than 60 online databases. Additionally, patrons can use their library card to access Live Homework Help--a live, online tutoring program and download audio books for play on I-Pods and other media players.
San Diego Public Library provides public computer labs at each branch. These computer workstations are used by people looking for work, completing online training, researching family health issues or completing school projects.
Each year, more than 1.6 million people sign up for Internet use at San Diego Public Library. Many of these computer labs are funded by private donations, ensuring that everyone in our communities can benefit from free access to current technology.
Also available are technology services for people with disabilities, including:

A more detailed list of services is available on the library website.
