Help the Library Fulfill the Growing Need for New Books

There are more new books available now than ever. Library users continually hunger for more best sellers, children’s books, books to help students with homework and large print editions for the visually impaired. With budgets tight, now more than ever, the Library needs donors willing to augment the Library’s collection and support programs and technology.

Your gift to the Library’s book fund is matched dollar for dollar by a special matching gift program, meaning a contribution for books, programs and technology goes twice as far. Additionally, the Library negotiates the best deals possible with book sellers, ensuring the efficient use of contributions. Your gifts will help the Library with key book purchases, expanded technology and key programs. For example, your matched contribution can:

• $25 – add four board books for toddlers. 
• $50 – allow the Library to purchase two adult bestsellers.  
• $100 – add seven large print books to the Library collection, especially popular among older patrons.
• $250 – help the Library add 15 hardback children’s picture books.
• $500 – increase the Library’s foreign language book collection by 33 books.
• $1,000 – 50 feature film DVDs, 66 Spanish-language DVDs, or 66 popular music CDs.
